Aniimo Catch Rate: Catching, Evolution, and Prismana Eggs

Aniimo’s official catch formula changes with the encounter: outside battle it uses the Aniipod, level difference, backstab, and Aniimo status; in battle it substitutes HP for backstab. The official table also publishes separate rates for specific egg sources and capture tools. That distinction matters. A catch-rate number is meaningful only when the target, pod, level, and encounter state match the situation.

How the published catch formula works

For a regular Aniimo outside battle, the published formula multiplies its base chance by the Aniipod multiplier, level multiplier, backstab multiplier, and status multiplier. In battle, the HP multiplier takes the place of the backstab multiplier. Alpha Aniimo use a separate formula: the Alpha base chance multiplied by the Aniipod multiplier. The official page says some story encounters can force a catch result when the target is in Break or Backstab state, or outside battle.

The base chance varies by area and stage. In early-game areas, the listed chances are 56% for Lumin, 42% for Gamma, and 28% for Nova. In early-mid areas they are 50%, 38%, and 25%; in mid-game areas, 44%, 33%, and 22%. The mid-late values are 38%, 29%, and 19%, while late-game areas list 32%, 24%, and 16%. Alpha Aniimo have a published base catch chance of 6%.

Level difference is measured as Aniimo level minus Pathfinder level. A difference of 10 or less keeps the multiplier at ×1. At +11 it becomes ×0.8, then ×0.6 at +12, ×0.4 at +13, ×0.2 at +14, and ×0.1 at +15 or higher. This is why a stronger pod may still produce a low displayed chance against a much higher-level target.

Choosing a pod and a moment

The official multipliers put a standard Aniipod at ×1 and Aniipod Pro at ×1.5. Aniipod Hyper, Aniipod Trace, Aniipod Mega, and a regular Tumbler are ×2. Aniipod Ultra and Sparkling Cube are listed as guaranteed success; the seasonal Legendary Aniipod: Departure with the Wind is also guaranteed. A Tumbler used on Aniimo gathered by Nurture has a separate ×6 multiplier.

During battle, the target’s remaining HP affects the chance. The table lists ×2 at 0% HP, ×1.65 at 5%, ×1.26 at 10%, ×1.1 at 50%, ×1 at 80%, ×0.9 at 90%, and ×0.8 at full HP. Outside battle, a backstab is ×1.5; that multiplier does not apply to Tumblers. Status can also matter. If multiple statuses are active and at least one is a debuff, the official rule uses the lowest status multiplier; if there is no debuff, it uses the highest.

These are multipliers, not independent guarantees. A ×2 pod doubles the base chance after the other applicable factors have been considered; only tools explicitly marked as guaranteed success have that promise. The live capture display is the practical number for the current target, because it reflects the actual combination of stage, level, pod, and state.

Lucky catches and Prismana progress

Lucky catch results are a separate subject from the published normal capture formula. One recorded sample listed approximately 3,275 Aniipod throws and 19 Lucky catches, with the sample labeled about 0.58%. That is a finite sample, not a fixed chance for every throw. A separate sample covering roughly 50–60 catches at a Vein Abundance location noted two Lucky Strikes and a Prismatic spawn. The contrast shows why one short run cannot establish a reliable rate.

The official developer update describes Lucky Strikes as a catch mechanic that grants item rewards, increases the area’s Prismatic Energy, and can directly trigger Prismana Flow. It does not publish a Lucky Strike rate in that explanation. Treat the sample above as an observation, not a promise that a particular number of throws will fill a meter or produce a Prismana.

Prismana eggs and Shadow Sparkling

If you are chasing Shadow Sparkling with a Sparkling Cube, choose an Operation: Egg Heist egg: the official Probability Details table gives this path a 1% chance. The same table lists 0% for an ordinary egg or a wild catch using a Sparkling Cube. A Sparkling Sigil and Sparkling Pigment each list a 0.5% Shadow Sparkling chance; the Common Sparkling figure is 99% for each method.

The official September update also added a Mysterious Prismana Egg at Home levels 15 and 18. In Operation: Egg Heist, the update notice says Chaos Mode has significantly higher drop rates for Prismana Aniimo Eggs and Prismatic Collectibles, but it does not state a numeric drop rate. Do not read “higher” as a guarantee: the notice gives no promise that a run will produce an egg.

One six-hour RV outing produced a Mysterious Aniimo Egg in a recorded example. The egg’s displayed description connected it to Aniimo returning from an outing. The resulting hatch used a Sparkling Orb and had Sparkling and Perfect qualities, but did not inherit the original Aniimo’s Prismana form. That result establishes what happened in that single case; it does not establish the inheritance odds. The claim that longer outings improve egg chances is likewise not accompanied by a published rate here.

Evolution: use the specific requirement

Evolution requirements can be specific to an Aniimo. The official January update gives one clear example: Fenrier reaching Level 29 unlocks the option to evolve into Glynsera, and the evolution remains a choice. That is a confirmed threshold for this named route; it is not a universal level requirement for all Aniimo.

Build guidance for the current version says that delaying evolution does not lose stats, Capability acts as a modifier, and a non-Perfect Aniimo can reach maximum stats at a higher resource cost. Treat that as experience-based guidance rather than a universal evolution rule.
